Bridging Policy and Practice explored the challenges of implementing public health initiatives in rural India. While policies are often designed with clear objectives, the realities of implementation frequently differ due to local conditions, institutional constraints, and fragmented communication between stakeholders. Through policy analysis, stakeholder interviews, and systems mapping, I examined how information, resources, and responsibilities move across different levels of the public health ecosystem. The project focused on understanding the perspectives of policymakers, healthcare workers, local institutions, and communities to identify where gaps emerged between policy intent and real-world outcomes. By visualizing these relationships and interactions, I uncovered opportunities to strengthen coordination, feedback mechanisms, and decision-making processes. The work highlights how design research can help translate complex systems into actionable insights, enabling more effective and context-sensitive approaches to public health delivery.
